Anna Łukaszewska-Trzeciakowska officially replaced Mateusz Berger. There is a new government plenipotentiary for strategic energy infrastructure

Anna Łukaszewska-Trzeciakowska, until recently Deputy Minister of Climate and Environment, on Friday received the act of appointing the government plenipotentiary for strategic energy infrastructure. She replaced Mateusz Berger in this position. Łukaszewska-Trzeciakowska thanked her for her trust in an entry in social media.

Anna Łukaszewska-Trzeciakowska announced the official appointment to the new position on Twitter on Friday. “Today I had the honor to officially receive the appointment from the hands of the Prime Minister @MorawieckiM. Thank you very much for your trust! A great honor and no less responsibility. I will not fail” – declared the former Deputy Minister of Climate and Environment.

This position has been held by Mateusz Berger since July last yearwho was the successor of the dismissed Piotr Naimski.

Who is Anna Łukaszewska-Trzeciakowska?

Anna Łukaszewska-Trzeciakowska worked at the Ministry of Climate and Environment from July 2022 to June 2 this year. At that time, she supervised the Department of Heating and the Department of Electricity and Gas and exercised the powers of the minister as the administrator of the Price Difference Payment Fund.

Łukaszewska-Trzeciakowska in the years 2002-2007 was associated with the defense industry. Then, from 2007, she worked in the energy sector, including as the president of the management board of Elektrownia “Kozienice” SA, where she was responsible for the preparation of investments in the construction of a new power unit with a capacity of 1000 MW. From 2017 to 2019, she was responsible for corporate matters at the Polish Electricity Committee.

In the past, Anna Łukaszewska-Trzeciakowska was also a plenipotentiary at the Ministry of Maritime Economy and Inland Navigation. In addition, in 2020-2021, she was the director of the Regional Water Management Authority in Warsaw. In 2021, she worked in Orlen Group companies – she was the president of the management boards of both Baltic Power and Orlen Neptun.

Anna Łukaszewska-Trzeciakowska is an economist by education and an MBA graduate.
