A 64-year-old man was charged with murder by multiple stabbings after police arrested him in Annopol (Lublin Province) in connection with the death of his 57-year-old wife. The woman was found at home on Sunday with stab wounds to her body. Despite resuscitation attempts, she could not be saved.
– The man has been charged with murder by stabbing multiple times. He faces life imprisonment. Today, there will be a motion for arrest, which the court will probably consider tomorrow – informs prosecutor Agnieszka Kępka, spokeswoman for the District Prosecutor's Office in Lublin.

The quarrel broke out in the morning hours.
It all started on Sunday (September 22) with a report of a domestic dispute in a multi-family building in Annopol, which the police received in the morning.
“During the intervention in the apartment, they found an unconscious wounded woman. Despite the resuscitation attempts, the 57-year-old's life could not be saved,” informed on Sunday the press officer of the District Police Headquarters in Kraśnik, cadet Paweł Cieliczko.
Prosecutor's Office: He did not declare whether he confessed. He answered questions
The officers detained the woman's 64-year-old husband in his apartment. He was sober.
– He did not declare whether he pleads guilty or not. Nevertheless, he answered our questions. However, we are not revealing the content of the answers – emphasizes prosecutor Kępka.
