A 64-year-old man was charged with murder by multiple stabbings after police arrested him in Annopol (Lublin Province) in connection with the death of his 57-year-old wife. The woman was found at home on Sunday with stab wounds to her body. Despite resuscitation attempts, she could not be saved.
– The man has been charged with murder by stabbing multiple times. He faces life imprisonment. Today, there will be a motion for arrest, which the court will probably consider tomorrow – informs prosecutor Agnieszka KÄ™pka, spokeswoman for the District Prosecutor's Office in Lublin.
On Sunday, police detained a 64-year-old man from Annopol in connection with the death of his 57-year-old wife. The woman was found on Sunday in an apartment building with stab wounds to her body.
The quarrel broke out in the morning hours.
It all started on Sunday (September 22) with a report of a domestic dispute in a multi-family building in Annopol, which the police received in the morning.
“During the intervention in the apartment, they found an unconscious wounded woman. Despite the resuscitation attempts, the 57-year-old's life could not be saved,” informed on Sunday the press officer of the District Police Headquarters in KraÅ›nik, cadet PaweÅ‚ Cieliczko.
Prosecutor's Office: He did not declare whether he confessed. He answered questions
The officers detained the woman's 64-year-old husband in his apartment. He was sober.
– He did not declare whether he pleads guilty or not. Nevertheless, he answered our questions. However, we are not revealing the content of the answers – emphasizes prosecutor KÄ™pka.
