It turns out that we did not yet know everything about what was happening in the educational center in Jerzmanice-Zdrój. A week ago we talked about the arrest of a teacher who allegedly beat a 13-year-old boy several times, who is still in a coma in the hospital. Now we learn about the arrest and charges against another employee of this center.

An inspector came, looked at the monitoring and found it. – It was obvious what kind of behavior this was – says Liliana Łukasiewicz from the District Prosecutor's Office in Legnica.
This behavior is violence. Another case. – It's also about an experienced educator – says Maria Ejchart, deputy minister of justice.
The teacher was arrested and questioned by the prosecutor's office on November 29. – Another incident was revealed, which involved hitting one of the pupils in the head and using violence against him – says Liliana Łukasiewicz.
The first detained educator pleads not guilty
This is the second case in the same educational center in Jerzmanice-Zdrój. Earlier this week, one educator was detained. He allegedly beat up a thirteen-year-old student and humiliated him in the corridor in front of everyone.
– It involved, among other things, beating on the head, kicking and pulling, and it happened several times during the same day – says Liliana Łukasiewicz.

And after all, the boy, whose mother died and whose father was in prison, tried to commit suicide. – Unfortunately, there are no changes, the boy remains in a coma – informs the Deputy Minister of Justice, Maria Ejchart.
The person who allegedly beat him was a sixty-year-old educator who had worked at this center for over half his life. He was charged with abusing a dependent person.
– He did not admit to the crime, he only gave his own explanations, not answering any questions – says Anna Chomiczewska from the District Prosecutor's Office in Złotoryja.
The Ministry of Justice has established a crisis team
The director of the center in Jerzmanice has been suspended. The center employs a team of psychologists who take care of both the students and the teaching staff. The Ministry of Justice has established a crisis team. A meeting with the directors of all thirty educational centers, correctional facilities and shelters for minors subordinated to the ministry is planned for next week.

– This is extremely hard work done by people who make a huge effort and take on huge responsibility. Working with such people is different than working with children at school. However, the legal and ethical boundaries here are clear, emphasizes Maria Ejchart.
The second detained educator from the center in Jerzmanice was removed from work and suspended.
– The prosecutor decided that this educator should be charged with causing bodily injury resulting in health impairment for less than seven days – says Liliana Łukasiewicz.
