On Wednesday, the Sejm adopted the anti-TVN law. It was supported by 228 MPs, with 216 votes against and 10 abstentions. The act known as anti-TVN changes the rules of granting broadcasting licenses to media with capital from outside the European Economic Area. In the unanimous opinion of commentators, the new regulations, the draft of which were submitted to the Sejm by PiS MPs, are aimed at the independence of TVN. Many journalists, politicians and institutions protested against the changes in the media law.

– I am a young person, a lot of people in their teens write to me, they ask for support, they do not know what to do, they are powerless. This is their future, their life. They want to leave this country and they will leave because this is not the place for them. We have enough, we would like it to just end – said one of the protesters.
– PiS is gradually taking away our rights. It took away the right of women to terminate pregnancy, in the meantime it directly trampled the constitution, and now it is trying to deprive us of free media – said one of the participants of the protest in Zabrze.
