Iran did not comment

The agency was unable to obtain a comment from the site Iranhowever, recalled that the country has rejected accusations that it was behind similar incidents in the past few years.

Reuters also recalled that Iran blamed Israel for the January 29 drone attack on a military compound in the central city of Isfahan, vowing revenge.

Tensions between Iran and the West

The attack came amid tensions between Iran and the West over Tehran’s nuclear plans and its arms shipments – including long-range “suicide drones” – to Russia during her war against Ukraineas well as months of anti-government demonstrations in the country.
