The body of a 21-year-old man who fell from a pedal boat was fished out of Lake Ostrowskie in Przyjezierze (Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship). The tragedy also occurred at the excavation of the gravel pit in Wojdal. There, the 74-year-old drowned.
On Sunday (August 13), before 2 p.m., firefighters received a report of an accident that took place on Lake Ostrowskie in Przyjezierze. According to the report, the man fell off the pedal boat and disappeared under the water.
Six fire brigade units, including a specialist water and diving rescue team, were sent to the site. Firefighters conducted operations using sonar. Hours of searching have been fruitless. On Monday (August 14) they resumed in the morning. The body of the 21-year-old was recovered in the afternoon.
On Sunday, firefighters also received a report about an elderly man aged 74 who was missing in the village of Wojdal in the Inowrocław district while bathing in a gravel excavation. After several hours of searching, on Monday (August 14) around 2:30 p.m., the services fished out the man’s body.
