Commenting on the assassination of Kirillov, spokesman for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Maria Zakharovawrote that the general “for many years systematically exposed the crimes of the Anglo-Saxons.” His assassination is a major success for the SBU, as Kirillov is considered the highest-ranking officer killed, well beyond the front line.
