Equality between the countryside and the city has not yet been achieved, Jarosław Kaczyński, the president of Law and Justice, said on Sunday. As he said, the goal is to achieve a state in which “the average Polish village, when it comes to various types of civilization opportunities, would not be inferior to the center of Warsaw.” “If we are in power, we will achieve this goal,” Kaczyński assured.
On Sunday in Przysucha (Mazowieckie Voivodeship) the Assembly of the Polish Village is held. – Today’s meeting is no accident. It is the result of something that we have been saying for a long time and which is now a fact. Law and Justice wants and is a representative of the Polish countryside. And she’s proud of it. And I’m proud of it,’ he said during his speech Jaroslaw Kaczynski.
As the PiS president said, one can be proud of the Polish countryside because of what “in particular is happening in our country in these last very difficult years”. – Well, you can say – the Polish countryside, Polish agriculture did not disappoint, you managed in this difficult time – said Kaczyński.
He added that “Polish agricultural production ensures food security and growing exports.” – This year it should clearly exceed EUR 40 billion. That’s really quite a lot. This is a great achievement of everything that is in the Polish countryside and around the Polish countryside – said Kaczyński.
As he said, “the foundation of this machine are Polish farmers, Polish farms and the land they have often cultivated since grandfather, great-grandfather”. – This is what connects the countryside with Polish history so much, because as it has already been said here, 40 percent of Poles live in the countryside, and even more come from the countryside – said the head of PiS. He added that Poland is a country whose nation comes largely from the countryside. – Hence the tradition of the Polish countryside, its culture, is extremely important – he stressed.
Jarosław Kaczyński about the Polish countryside
In the opinion of the PiS president, “the Polish state has fulfilled its obligations since it was ruled by Law and Justice.”
– First of all, we have achieved in relation to 97 percent of farms what we have been talking about for a long time, what we have been fighting for – we already have agricultural subsidies at the European level, even slightly higher than the average in the European Union. It’s really a success. But we have also done much more in other areas, when it comes to protecting the ownership of Polish land, when it comes to the possibility of selling agricultural products in various ways, direct production on farms of such products that are immediately intended for the market – he enumerated.
During his speech, Jarosław Kaczyński admitted, however, that “by no means exhausts everything that needs to be done to make the situation of the Polish countryside the situation it should be”. – In order for this equality between the countryside and the city, equality in every respect to be finally realized, we have come close to it, but it has not yet been achieved – he explained.
– We have come closer to this, among others, through large investment programs, which are largely intended for the Polish countryside. Significant progress has been made here, especially in the last few years, but still to the point where the average Polish village, when it comes to various types of civilization opportunities, would not be inferior to the center of Warsaw, the road is quite a long way – said the PiS president.
– And this is our goal, if we are in power, we will achieve this goal – assured Jarosław Kaczyński.
Program for the coming years for the Polish countryside
The PiS president announced that in about half a year, the party’s program for the next few years for the Polish countryside will be presented. He noted that Sunday’s meeting is important, but it is not the last one. – In about half a year, this will be the final program meeting, where we will present our program for the next few years for the Polish countryside – declared Jarosław Kaczyński.
He also announced that the proposals relating to the Agricultural Code would be subject to consultations.
