Iran fired nearly 200 ballistic missiles at Israel on Tuesday. The Council of Europe Commission voted in favor of waiving the immunity of MEP Marcin Romanowski. In Poland, a storm was caused by the so-called alcotubes that appeared in stores – there is an announcement of an inspection and the manufacturer's decision to withdraw the product. 1. Growing tension in the Middle East
Iran fired nearly 200 ballistic missiles at Israel on Tuesday, prompting alarm throughout the country. The army said it shot down “a large proportion” of them. She also reported that no casualties were reported, although local media reported the death of a Palestinian civilian in the West Bank. Iran announced that the airstrike was revenge for Israel's killing of Hamas and Hezbollah leaders. Israel announced its response. The White House called the attack a “significant escalation” by Iran.

Earlier, the Israeli army launched a “limited” ground operation in southern Lebanon. The attack is supported by air forces and artillery.

2. Storm over alcotubes
Polish stores now offer alcohol in sachets (tubes) resembling those in which, among others, alcohol is sold. fruit mousses for children. The product caused huge controversy, and the topic also came up during a government meeting. Prime minister Donald Tusk stated that this requires urgent intervention by the authorities.
Minister of Agriculture Czesław Siekierski on the same day, he met with the head of the Trade Quality Inspection of Agricultural and Food Products to solve the problem. Inspections are to start on Wednesday, which may concern primarily product labeling, the press department of the Ministry of Agriculture reported. Paweł Grzesiowski, Chief Sanitary Inspector, announced that inspectors will inspect plants producing alcohol sachets and stores selling them, justifying this, among others: risk of confusion with children's products due to similar packaging.
OLV, the manufacturer of alcohol tubes, finally announced on Tuesday evening that recalls the entire batch of products from the market and immediately stops their production.
3. Commission to lift Romanowski's immunity
The Rules Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe voted in favor of waiving the immunity of MP Marcin Romanowski. The vote on this matter will now take place in the plenary session.

The Regional Prosecutor's Office in Lublin submitted an indictment against Zbigniew J., former president of PKO BP, to the District Court in Warsaw.
Seven charges concern causing damage to the property of PKO BP in the amount of PLN 3.2 million. The suspect did not plead guilty to the crimes he was accused of.
