Fighting in the Kursk Oblast after the Armed Forces of Ukraine broke through into the territory Russiahave been taking place in the region since the beginning of August. The occupiers are trying to push the Ukrainians out of this area, the attacks continue unabated, and the inhabitants of the village of Olgowka are fed up with the war reality. As they claim, their lives have been divided into before and after the war spread to their country.
Therefore, they decided to record an appeal addressed directly to the Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
War in Ukraine. Residents of the Kursk region appealed to Putin. They've had enough
– Some villagers died, some went missing because the evacuation was not announced and not everyone managed to leave. Some stayed because they thought it would last two or three days – says the man in the recording that appeared on the Internet. The appeal emphasized that the villagers had lost almost everything, and now the situation was forcing them to move to other areas.
However, many people cannot afford to rent an apartment, some have difficulty finding a new job, and still others have stopped receiving money from the state. – We've been in hell for three months. Where will we go? Where will we find help? – asks the man who reads the text of the appeal.
He further addresses Vladimir Putin directly: – Please end this damned warwhich took many innocent lives. We want our children to see calm skies and not hear the missile alarm.
Ukraine – Russia. They appeal to Putin. The Russians do not like the war on their territory
– Take a look at this situation and listen to the inhabitants of the border area. We do not tolerate all this out of our own choice, say the inhabitants of one of the villages in the Kursk region.
A similar appeal from the inhabitants of the district appeared at the beginning of August, as reported by, among others, independent portal Meduza. – Our relatives, husbands and neighbors defend Donbas. We lost our land and homes, we fled under fire, many without documents. We want to ask for help, we are alone – said one of the women, emphasizing that from the beginning of the full-scale war in Ukraine they supported the Russian military and continue to do so.
In turn, in September, Vladimir Putin reassured his citizens by saying that the situation in the Kursk Oblast was stabilizing. However, the local inhabitants had a completely different opinion. Belsat television reported that, according to Russian reports from these areas, the situation in the region “does not look good.” Others, however, they directly accused Putin of lies and claimed that these were “another beautiful words for their ears”.
