The Chief Sanitary Inspectorate (GIS) has published a warning regarding one batch of beef tartare from the Auchan network. The reason is the detection of the presence of Salmonella spp. bacteria, informed in Tuesday’s announcement.

GIS informed that on the basis of tests carried out by the State Sanitary Inspection, the presence of Salmonella spp. bacilli was found in one batch of the product under the name: “Auchan beef tartare, 200 g”. The batch number is 2293008 and the expiry date is 08/30/2023.

The producer is Zakłady Mięsne Łuków. Tartar was produced for Auchan Polska.

The inspectorate informed that on Monday, August 28 this year, immediately after receiving the notification of irregularities, the manufacturer and the distributor took action to withdraw from sale and dispose of the indicated batch of goods. It was ensured that the official food control authorities supervise the process of recalling the batches from the market.

GIS representatives emphasized that “the product from the batch covered by the communication should not be consumed”.

“The consumption of food contaminated with Salmonella can lead to a disease called salmonellosis. If you develop symptoms of the disease after consuming the above-mentioned product, you should contact your doctor” – added.
