Auction of the Academy of Fine Arts and Desa Unicum for Ukrainian women

The Faculty of Design of the Academy of Fine Arts organizes the auction “Private Case. Artists for women in Ukraine”. Until May 22, you can bid on 15 items, including decorated boxes that were used to transport ammunition in Ukraine. The funds will be allocated to combat the menstrual crisis in Ukraine and other measures necessary for life.

“Private Case. Artists for women in Ukraine” is a charity auction organized by the Faculty of Design of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in cooperation with the Desa Unicum auction house. “The funds collected through the auction will be used to fight the menstrual crisis in Ukraine and other funds necessary for life, which the Pogoń Ruska Foundation has been providing to this country since the beginning of the war,” the organizers write.

There are a total of 15 items up for auction. 13 boxes legally obtained and modified by artists, which were used to transport ammunition in Ukraine. The fourteenth box was melted down to make an “anti-knife”. The next item is a painting framed in a window frame brought from Donbas.

The items will be on display at the Desa Unicum headquarters at Piękna 1A in Warsaw on May 13-21. The auction lasts until May 22 at 4 p.m.

The objects were created by: Agata Bogacka, Patryk Różycki, Joanna Rajkowska, Marta Nadolle, Karol Radziszewski, Viola Głowacka, Paulina Włostowska, Michał Frydrych, Pola Obajnik, Adam Adach, Mikołaj Chylak and Łukasz Zembaty, Alicja Bielawska, Jakub Gliński, Veronika Hapchenko and Robert Kuśmirowski.
