Audit – this word connects all ministers in their first days of work. Everyone argues that the beginning is to check what has actually happened in their resorts so far. But there are also first decisions. Barbara Nowacka replaces curators, Adam Bodnar submits the first applications, and the Minister of Infrastructure went to the protesting carriers.
Curators who were for PiS will all disappear, announced the Minister of Education, Barbara Nowacka. Acting curators will be appointed to replace the current curators, and new ones will be selected in competitions. – They all acted on political orders – the new minister explains her decision.
Each minister plans an audit in his ministry. – Today I started a series of meetings with department directors and we are taking a look at what has happened over the last eight years and what needs to be done to fix various matters – said Barbara Nowacka. – We will audit everything, it has already been ordered by the ministry. And I’m waiting for the results – adds the new Minister of Sport and Tourism, Sławomir Nitras.

Donald Tusk has established an inter-ministerial team to restore the rule of law, headed by the new Minister of Justice, Adam Bodnar. The team will include representatives of various ministries. Specialists will prepare draft laws. At Thursday’s meeting of the National Council of the Judiciary, Adam Bodnar announced that he would restore the constitutional role of this institution.
One of the first decisions of Minister Adam Bodnar was an application to the Prime Minister regarding Poland’s accession to the European Public Prosecutor’s Office, in whose work 22 EU member states already participate.

The new ministers – as they say in an interview with “Fakty” – found their offices tidy and practically empty.
“Computers and printers were taken out of the ministerial rooms in the prime minister’s office (not outside the building, but they are not part of the equipment). Literally. Little people. Since yesterday, the IT services have been painstakingly reinstalling everything and we are starting work normally. We can handle it with Jan Grabiec!” – wrote on X (formerly Twitter) Minister Maciej Berek, responsible for legislation in the government.
Almost immediately, former government spokesman Piotr Mueller replied: “Mr. Minister, when a new employee comes to work, the workplace is normally re-prepared, including re-configuring the computer equipment. Please do not look for a cheap sensation,” he wrote .
The first day at work for ministers is not only about meetings and preparing a plan for the coming days. The new Minister of Infrastructure almost immediately after his appointment went to a meeting with carriers protesting on the Polish-Ukrainian border.
– A conversation was necessary. I noted a number of arguments. I will want to present them to the parties I will be talking to. I have important meetings ahead of me, said Minister Dariusz Klimczak.

Deputy ministers also started working in many ministries. Some of the nominations have to wait for Donald Tusk’s return from Brussels. The Council of Ministers is scheduled to meet on Monday for an informal meeting regarding the new budget.
