Auschwitz. The intoxicated 37-year-old brought her son to school

A 38-year-old from Oświęcim (Lesser Poland Voivodeship) parked her car in the entrance gate to the school, preventing other drivers from leaving the parking lot. When one of them approached to get her attention, he smelled alcohol on the woman.

The man, who smelled alcohol from the woman, took her car keys and called the police. One of the traffic patrols came to the spot.

– The 38-year-old’s sobriety test showed two per mille of alcohol. Moments earlier, a woman brought her 7-year-old child to school. She was detained – said the spokeswoman of the district headquarters in Oświęcim, asp. pcs. Małgorzata Jurecka.

The 38-year-old is suspected of driving while intoxicated. It is punishable by up to two years in prison, at least a three-year driving ban and a fine of up to PLN 60,000.

– Proceedings have also been initiated in connection with the suspicion that by driving a car while intoxicated, she endangered a minor child over whom she was obliged to take care. This is punishable by up to five years in prison, said a spokeswoman for the Oświęcim police.
