A female dog named Valerie, who escaped to the owners during the campsite in 2023, was found thanks to the organization of Kangal Wildlife Rescue. Jamniczka spent over 500 days in the Australian bush – says BBC.
Weighing less than four kilograms, Valerie disappeared in November 2023 on the island of Kangaroo in South Australia, during a camping trip. The owner of the bitch Georgia Gardner and her boyfriend Joshua Fishlock left a four -legged man in a pen on the campsite when they went on fish. When they returned, the quadruped was gone.
529 days in the bush
Kangal Wildlife Rescue was involved in the search for a missing bitch. Her volunteers spent over a thousand hours searching for a quadruped and covered a distance of over five thousand kilometers at that time. Ultimately, volunteers managed to find a dachshund and secure it with a remote trap.
“After weeks of constant efforts, Valerie was saved, the female dog is in good shape,” the organization wrote on Friday, April 25.
As BBC writes, Valerie spent 529 days in the Australian bush, in a remote area. The female dog survived the heat and was not bitten by any venomous snake. Now it will stay on the island for at least a week, adapting to home life. Its owners Josh and Georgia are to pick her up soon.
