A trial date for the 14-year-old boy charged with the homicide of 12-year-old Ava White has been set.

Ava had been in Liverpool metropolis centre with mates final Thursday when she was stabbed within the neck with a knife at about 8.30pm, Liverpool Crown Courtroom heard.

The younger woman was concerned in a “verbal argument” which escalated into an “assault on her with a knife” following a Christmas lights switch-on, police mentioned.

The teenage boy, charged along with her homicide and possession of an offensive weapon, appeared at Liverpool Crown Courtroom by way of videolink on Wednesday.

“Ava White was in Liverpool metropolis centre final Thursday with mates for a Christmas mild present. We all know there was a verbal argument that escalated and we learnt at present that Ava White was stabbed within the neck.

“Three different boys aged 13 to fifteen have been arrested however have been conditional bailed whereas enquiries proceed.”
