Azeem Rafiq has apologised for making antisemitic remarks in 2011 in a message posted on social media.

The previous cricketer, who has been on the centre of unveiling the current racism scandal which has despatched shockwaves by way of the sport, posted an announcement on Twitter.

He mentioned he was “ashamed” of remarks he made when he was 19-years-old and apologised to the Jewish group.
