A pedestrian appeared on the A2 motorway near Komornik. According to the police, the 29-year-old ran into oncoming cars and was hit. After the accident, he disappeared from the scene. Firefighters found him 800 meters away. The injured person was taken to hospital.

The police are explaining the circumstances of the unusual accident that occurred on the A2 near Komorniki near Poznań.

– Around 6 a.m., on a route towards Warsaw, a man ran into oncoming vehicles and was hit. The 29-year-old then left the scene of the accident, said Łukasz Paterski, spokesman for the Poznań City Police Headquarters.

Firefighters got involved in the search for the man. Due to the lush vegetation near the highway fence, a thermal imaging camera was used during the operation. – Firefighters searched and found the injured person about 800 meters from the place of the collision. They gave him first aid, mainly psychological – says the firefighter. Marcin Tecław from the press team of the City Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Poznań.

It is known that the injured 29-year-old was conscious. He was handed over to the ambulance crew. According to the Poznań police spokesman, the 29-year-old was taken to hospital with a spine injury. He was also tested for the presence of drugs. We will have to wait for the results.
