Balice. Direct flight to Ankara

On July 10, the Turkish airline Pegasus will launch a direct connection from the airport in Balice near Kraków (Małopolskie Province) to Ankara. The flights will run twice a week.

According to the airport in Balice, this will be the third direct connection of the capital of Lesser Poland with Turkey, after Istanbul and the resort of Antalya. Flights to Ankara will be operated on Mondays and Thursdays.

– The capital of Turkey, the second largest city after Istanbul, is very popular with tourists from all over the world. I am sure that the new connection will also strengthen business relations between our regions and bring a lively economic bond – stated the president of Kraków Airport Radosław Włoszek

Flights to Istanbul and Antalya

This summer, Kraków has already gained a connection with Istanbul, which they have been operating together since the end of April LOT Polish Airlines and Turkish Airlines as part of a Star Alliance partnership. From the beginning of May, you can also fly from the capital of Lesser Poland to Antalya airport, thanks to the connection operated by the local SunExpress line.

Kraków-Balice International Airport is the second airport in Poland in terms of the number of passengers served and the largest regional airport. In 2022, the port served nearly 7.4 million passengers; it was the second result in the history of the airport. The record of 8.4 million travelers was set in the last year before the pandemic, 2019.

In the current summer timetable, carriers operating from Kraków Airport offer 145 connections to 107 cities in 33 countries.
