The rulers announced the introduction of a ban on the import of products from Ukraine. The Minister of Development and Technology, Waldemar Buda, published a regulation on this matter. The list of prohibited products includes cereals, milk, eggs and poultry meat.

President of Law and Justice Jaroslaw Kaczynski announced during Saturday’s convention the introduction of a ban on importing grain and dozens of other types of food from Ukraine to Poland. “From grain to honey products,” he pointed out.

Ban on the import of agricultural products from Ukraine

The Minister of Development and Technology, Waldemar Buda, shortly after Kaczyński’s words, announced on Twitter that he had signed a regulation on the ban on imports of Ukraine agricultural products. “In accordance with the directional decision of the Council of Ministers, I have just signed the Ordinance on the ban on imports of agricultural products from Ukraine,” the minister wrote.

The regulation will enter into force on the day of its announcement.

The regulation reads that “until 30 June 2023, a ban on imports of products originating in or imported from the territory of Ukraine into the territory of the Republic of Poland of the products listed in the annex to the regulation is established”.

The list includes grain, sugar, dried fodder, seeds, hops, flax and hemp, fruit and vegetables, wines, beef and veal, poultry meat, milk and milk products, eggs and bee products.
