Prohibition for minors: On Tuesday, the Council of Ministers adopted a bill that provides for: sales ban minors all types of electronic cigarettesincluding nicotine-free and disposable ones, as well as heaters, cartridges and bags with synthetic nicotine. The proposed changes are also intended to strengthen supervision over advertising and promotion of these products.
New ban in public places: The project also provides for ban on smoking e-cigarettes nicotine-free in selected public places, including: in schools, on squares playgrounds and public transport stops. Minister of Health Izabela Leszczyna said during a press conference that new regulations are intended to protect children and young people from the growing threat of tobacco and e-addictioncigarettes.
Composition control before sale: According to the proposed regulations, information on nicotine-free liquids for e-cigarettes and nicotine sachets will be reported to the president of the Bureau for Chemical Substances at least 6 months before the planned introduction to sale. Their composition will be controlled for the presence of carcinogenic, mutagenic or reproductive toxic substances indicated on the packaging.
