A ban on the sale of e-cigarettes may be introduced in the coming months. Ideally, it would be possible to do this before the holidays, said Deputy Minister of Health Wojciech Konieczny. They are ominously cool, they look attractive, and these are devices that are used to start an addiction, he emphasized.

Konieczny, asked on Radio One about when a ban on the sale of disposable e-cigarettes might be introduced, replied: – I think it will be in the coming months. Ideally, it would be possible to do this before the holidays.

– We have statistical data that the use of disposable e-cigarettes increases during the holiday season, when sales are huge, because they are most popular among young people, among people who willingly buy these choices and for whom their price is quite affordable. – he pointed out.

He noticed that the devices attract attention with their colors, smell and taste. – They are ominously cool, they look attractive, and these are devices that help start an addiction, a very bad, dangerous addiction at a young age – he emphasized. – When it comes to disposable e-cigarettes, in my opinion, only a ban, and a quite tough one at that, can lead to success, otherwise producers will look for loopholes and shortcomings in the regulations and it will not fulfill its role. I am in favor of a total ban on these disposable e-cigarettes – emphasized the deputy head of the Ministry of Health.

As he added, “probably when we introduce this law, it will not be one regulation banning only the sale of these disposable e-cigarettes.” – We will also raise other anti-smoking issues – he announced.
