On Thursday afternoon, Pekao customers reported problems with access to their accounts. “There were temporary technical problems,” bank representatives reported on social media. “The unavailability of mobile services lasted less than half an hour,” Pekao spokesman Paweł Jurek told TVN24 Biznes on Thursday evening.
According to the information available on the Downdetector website, which collects information about problems sent by Internet users, the failure at Bank Pekao began on Thursday around 1 p.m. That’s when the number of reports of difficulties began to increase.
Bank Pekao customers reported problems with access to their accounts on the bank’s Facebook page. As they indicated, they could not make a transfer or make a Blik payment.
After logging into the application, the message appeared: “Something went wrong. There is a problem with the application. Please try again later.”
In response to questions from Internet users on social media, the bank informed that it “is making every effort to solve technical problems as soon as possible.” “There are temporary technical problems. We apologize and ask for your patience,” another response emphasized.
In the evening, Bank Pekao spokesman Paweł Jurek told TVN24 Biznes that from 1:30 p.m. all services are fully available. “Today’s unavailability of mobile services lasted less than half an hour,” he said.
