Firefighters freed a deer that was stuck between fence bars in Baranówka near Krakow. After being released, the animal had an injured neck and could not immediately return to the wild.

On Friday afternoon, firefighters were called to a deer trapped between fence bars in Baranówka near Krakow. Two fire brigade units from Łuczyce and Maciejowice went to intervene.

On site, the team found the animal with its head wedged between the bars.

“An attempt to free it using demolition equipment did not bring the expected result, so we decided to use a hydraulic spreader to appropriately bend the metal elements of the fence,” firefighters from Łuczyce reported in a post posted on Facebook.

Unfortunately, after freeing the deer, it turned out that it had neck injuries. A professional was called to the scene to take care of the animal.

“Until the arrival of the services, the animal was secured, and the rescuers tried to calm it down as much as possible,” emphasized representatives of the Łuczyce Volunteer Fire Department.

The firefighters' actions lasted about an hour.
