At night, a fire broke out on a farm in Bartniki (Warmia-Masuria Province). The cowshed with 150 cattle was burned down. Only four animals were saved. The causes of the fire are as yet unknown. The losses were initially estimated at two million zlotys.
On the night of Tuesday to Wednesday, on one of the properties in Bartniki, in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, a fire broke out in an outbuilding.

– The fire produced a lot of fire smoke and the animals in the barn suffocated with it. Later, some of them were also burned, Paweł Grarciek, operational officer of the Provincial Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Olsztyn informed journalists.
The cowshed in which the fire broke out was made of a sandwich panel, i.e. a material with polyurethane foam between its outer sheet metal walls.
There were 150 head of cattle in the cowshed. Only four animals were led out of the burning cowshed. A farm tractor parked in the building was also burned. Initially, the amount of losses was estimated at PLN 2 million.
Eight professional firefighters from Lidzbark Warmiński and volunteers from the Lidzbark and Bartoszyce poviats fought the fire for nearly three hours.
The causes of the fire are as yet unknown. They will be determined by the police.
