Bartosz “Bart” Sosnowski, one of the most interesting voices of the Polish blues scene, died on Wednesday, September 8. Sosnowski delighted with the unique, hoarse timbre of his voice, thanks to which he was compared to Joe Cocker.

The information on Thursday was confirmed by Aleksandra Górecka, the artist’s wife. “The pirate set out on the longest voyage, for us he will always be not far from here. Ola’s heart broke into a million pieces” – we read in the announcement published on the profiles of Sosnowski and Górecka.
On Wednesday morning an entry appeared on Sosnowski’s profile, in which he invited to another performance.
Sosnowski was born in Warsaw. At the age of 13, he began learning to play the guitar. Years later, when he left his studies in the oboe class, he went to various jobs to make a living.

He made his debut in 2006 with the mini-album “Blokada”. He released his first full album in 2018 – first on his own, and in October 2019, the Mystic Productions label released a re-release. As it was recorded on equipment that fits entirely in a travel bag, the album was titled “The Hand Luggage Studio”. The disc was nominated for Fryderyk in the Blues Album of the Year category.
– I recorded it all by myself, in the back room of a guitar accessories store. The recording process itself took place at strange hours. It was after the shop was closed, more or less from 23 to 3 am, or from 6 to 9 am – said Sosnowski in March this year during his visit to the studio “Good morning TVN“.
In 2019, he made a guest appearance during the concert of the Organek group as part of the Meskie Granie tour. Together they sang the song “Run On”.
In March 2020, his second album “Just don’t get upset” was released. In March this year, the single “Hej!” Was released, with a guest appearance by Małgorzata Ostrowska. – Bartek has an amazing voice. This is its enormous advantage. Blues can be seen from the top of the head to the top of the shoe – said Ostrowska in the material “Dzień Dobry TVN”.
Sosnowski attracted the attention of critics and listeners with his characteristic, hoarse vocal, which some compared to Joe Cocker.
