The rescuers from the water and diving group are looking for a 13-year-old boy who entered the Bzura River in Bednary (Łódź Voivodeship) on Tuesday afternoon. – So far we have searched two kilometers of the coastline, now we are checking the space under the water table – says junior brigadier Rafał Garbarz, deputy commander of the fire brigade in Łowicz.
The 13-year-old came to the river by bicycle with his peer. He decided to go into the water, the other boy stayed on the shore. It was he who called for help when his friend disappeared under the water. – We received the application at 12:22 pm – gives the junior fire master Radosław Sut from the fire brigade in Łowicz.
The actions on the spot are commanded by the deputy commander of the district fire brigade in Łowicz.

There are six divers on site. They are also helped by firefighters – volunteers from Łowicz.
– So far, we have combed about two kilometers of the Bzura coastline. Unfortunately, the thickets mean that we have to control the shoreline from the water – says Brig. Tanner.
The firefighter emphasizes that the state of Bzura has increased significantly after the recent rainfall, and the current has become very dangerous.
