The police publish a likeness of a man wanted in connection with a sexual assault on a woman in Będzin (Śląskie Voivodeship). – First, we had a mental portrait, then a surveillance video with this man. The woman recognized the perpetrator in him – says the police and asks for help in tracking the suspect.
The incident took place on July 20 in Będzin. The police are only now publishing photos of a suspected sexual assault, waiting for the prosecutor’s approval.
The man was supposed to attack a Będzin resident on the day when she was walking along the sidewalk along Św. Albert’s brother. As described by the police, the attacker forced her to submit to another sexual act. The woman testified that the man ran away to 1 Maja Street after the crime.
The police have a pre-attack video
– Based on the victim’s testimony, a memory portrait of the attacker was drawn up. Then we secured a video surveillance recording, in which the woman recognized the perpetrator – says Marcin Szopa, spokesman for the police in Będzin.
The recording comes from the beginning of Brata Alberta Street, from the moment before the attack. As Szopa says, “the perpetrator then followed the victim he chose”.
Police officers ask people who can help identify the man from the photos to contact them urgently. – A quick detention of a man may stop further events of this type – they argue.
