A man stole a phone from a 13-year-old girl in a bus in Będzin. To rip the camera out, he bit the girl’s hand. He got off at the next stop. The victim described the thief to the policemen and on the same day they arrested the suspect.
The incident took place in the Syberka estate in Będzin in the Silesian Voivodeship in the evening of September 16. Around 8 p.m. a thirteen-year-old girl was returning by bus from the scouting assembly. As reported by the police, at one point a stranger approached her and tried to grab the phone from her hand. There was a scuffle. The thief finally bit the 13-year-old’s hand and ran away with her camera.
The girl reported to the police with her parent. – She had clear signs of a bite – says senior sergeant Marcin Szopa, spokesman for the Będzin police.
They caught him the same day because she described him well
The 13-year-old described the thief well. Thanks to this, the police detained the suspect on the same day. – The policemen noticed a person matching the description on the street – says Szopa. He is a 37-year-old man. During his detention, he was to make vulgar names to the officers.
He has already heard the accusations. He will be responsible for the robbery and violation of the inviolability of the 13-year-old as well as insulting the intervening policemen. He is punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
