Poczta Polska introduced the service of safe transport of bees. “This unique offer was created for the beekeeping community,” the company explained.

“Poczta Polska announces the introduction of a pioneering service on the Polish market – safe transport of bees” – emphasized the postal operator.

– As the only company in Poland, we officially provide the bee transport service. For us, it is a priority to do it well and reliably – said Sebastian Mikosz, president of Poczta Polska, quoted in the announcement.

“The possibility of safe shipping of live bees is provided as part of the Pocztex service. It was designed with attention to every detail, so as to ensure insects optimal conditions. Special marking of packages, recommended packaging ensuring adequate ventilation and access to water, are just some of the introduced standards” – the company pointed out.

She added that the service was designed in cooperation with the experts of the Polish Association of Bee Mother Breeders, Sorter employees and couriers underwent special training.

– Nearly 100,000 beekeepers are registered in Poland. Thanks to the high standards of transporting bees, we support the development of apiaries and contribute to maintaining biodiversity – noted Monika LeleÅ„, an expert of the association.

How to use the service

The post office said that “the employees of the sorting plant and couriers underwent special training.” “Shipments are accepted from Monday to Thursday to avoid the risk of leaving them in warehouses on weekends, and in postal and distribution nodes, special places for bee transport have been separated” – we read in the communiqué.
