Belarus. Centrum Wiasna: six people were detained after explosions at the airport in Maczuliszcze

Viasna, a human rights center outlawed by the regime of Alyaksandr Lukashenka, reported that at least six people were detained in Dzerzhinsk, Belarus, after the explosions at the airport in Machuliszcze.

Center human rights Viasna wrote in Telegram that at least six people were detained in Dzerzhinsk, Minsk region. Two days of detention for “insubordination” were ordered for all the detainees. They are now free.

Wisna reported that after the arrest, these people were beaten, but not by local officers.

The independent portal Zerkalo.io wrote that earlier there was information about detentions in Maczuliszcze and in the town of Fanipal, 30 km away from the military airport, where two explosions were supposed to have taken place.

Attack on a Russian A50 plane

On Sunday, independent Belarusian media reported an attack on a Russian A50 plane at the airport in Machuliszcze. According to the opposition association of former Belarusian military and officers BYPOL, which are cited by independent media, the plane was seriously damaged and cannot be used. BYPOL took responsibility for the act of diversion.

On Monday Alexander Lukashenko convened a meeting of the heads of the most important power structures, including the Ministry of Defence, the KGB, the border guards and the Interior Ministry. He demanded “the strictest discipline” in detecting and responding to threats at the country’s borders.
