According to the authorities of Primorsky Krai, Lukashenko agreed to pardon the 25-year-old at their request, an independent website reported. – I confirm that Sapiega has been released from prison and is on her way to her homeland – Anton Gaszynski, the lawyer of the convicted Russian woman, was quoted by Nasha Niwa.

In May 2022, Sapiega was sentenced to six years in prison under two articles of the Penal Code on incitement to hatred and the illegal collection or dissemination of other people’s data.

Sapiega agreed to cooperate with Belarusian law enforcement agencies. Despite her arrest, she appeared in the state media, admitting, among other things, to running a Telegram channel that disclosed the personal data of law enforcement officers. She also suggested that former associates of Pratasiewicz from opposition circles could have been behind the forced landing of the Ryanair plane.
