The Dutroux house in Marcinelle was demolished

Last June, the Dutroux house in Marcinelle, near Charleroi in southern Belgium, was also demolished. In the place where the building used to stand, a memorial park will be built for the victims of the pedophile.

Marc Dutroux kidnapped, imprisoned and sexually abused 11 girls between the ages of 8 and 19 in the 1980s and 1990s. Four of them were murdered. In 2004, he was sentenced to life imprisonment for this, which he is serving in isolation at Nivelles prison.
