The family of a 76-year-old Ecuadorian woman who woke up in a coffin after doctors pronounced her dead said they would sue the hospital. The woman gave a sign that she was alive two hours after she was placed in the coffin.

Down An unusual event happened on Friday. In the morning of that day, 76-year-old Bella Montoya Castro felt unwell, so her youngest son took her to the hospital. 11 hours after the patient was admitted to the ward, doctors pronounced her dead.

– Look, the hospital even issued a death certificate with the causes of my mother’s death: sepsis and cardiac arrest – said Gilbert, one of the woman’s three children, in an interview with local media, announcing filing a lawsuit in connection with the gross negligence of the doctors.

Something told me she wasn’t dead. I wanted to see her, but they didn’t let me,” said the woman’s son, quoted by “El Pais”. The body was taken away by the funeral home.
