Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State Assets Jacek Sasin announced on Sunday in Białystok that a military unit in Augustów would soon be recreated.
– I will not reveal the secret if I say that very soon another unit will be recreated, or information about its reconstitution will be announced, the unit in Augustów – he said.

He reminded that Augustów is located in a critical point not only in the Podlaskie Voivodeship, but also in Poland and Europe, because it is located on the so-called “Suwałki isthmus”.

– It is recognized by experts as one of the most dangerous points on the map of Europe. A strong unit will be created there, which will also defend this part of our country – said Sasin.
