The inhabitants of Bielsko-Biała (Silesian Voivodeship) decided on Sunday whether there should be a waste incineration plant in the city and limited car traffic in the city center, and whether the city should subsidize in vitro treatments. The first referendum in the city turned out to be invalid because the turnout was too low.

On Sunday, residents of Bielsko-Biała answered questions about whether they want to build a waste incineration plant in the city, co-finance in vitro treatments by the city and limit car traffic in the very center.

Among the valid votes cast, the majority were against the construction of a “thermal waste treatment installation”, i.e. a waste incineration plant in the Wapienica district – 54.25%, and 62.85% were in favor of financing in vitro fertilization from the city budget. and against limiting car traffic in the very center of Bielsko-Biała – 61.78 percent.

It was the first local referendum held in Bielsko-Biała.
