The Government Security Center has issued a warning for the counties of Racibórz, Wodzisław, Rybnik and Rybnik. Laboratory tests confirmed the occurrence of two outbreaks of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) in the Polder Buków water reservoir and the Łężczok Nature Reserve. No entry until May 25.

The RCB alert for recipients in the counties of Racibórz, Wodzisław, Rybnik and Rybnik was published on Friday in social media.

“Attention! Until May 25, there is a ban on entering the reserve Łęczok and the Bukow Polder due to bird flu,” the RCB tweeted.

Research has identified two outbreaks of highly pathogenic avian influenza

The Center refers for more information to the website of the Provincial Veterinary Inspectorate in Katowice. There we read that already on April 25, the Silesian Voivode convened the Provincial Crisis Management Team, where “the current epidemiological situation with regard to avian influenza was discussed in connection with the receipt of positive results of laboratory tests for avian influenza carried out at the State Veterinary Institute – National Research Institute in Puławy “.

The indicated studies confirmed the occurrence of “two outbreaks of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) in the Polder Buków water reservoir and the Łężczok Nature Reserve”.

On the same day, the governor’s regulation on combating this disease in the counties of Racibórz, Rybnik, Wodzisław and the city of Rybnik was published.
