In the forest in the Czarne commune (Pomeranian Voivodeship), a mushroom picker found four artillery shells, probably from World War II. Police and sappers worked on site. There was no need to evacuate when collecting unexploded ordnance, as the surrounding area is not inhabited.
The incident occurred on November 7 in the afternoon in the forest of the Czarne commune. A resident of Gwda Mała called the police station in Człuchów and informed that while picking mushrooms he found four artillery shells, probably from World War II.
“Police officers were sent to the site to secure the place where unexploded ordnance was found, and also informed sappers from the military unit in Złocieniec about it,” we read in the release.

Sappers took away the unexploded ordnance and checked the area.
