Waldemar Fornalik was the first to be released.. However, the former coach had not had satisfactory results with Zagłębie Lubin for a long time, and after a heavy defeat to Raków (1:5) it seemed almost certain that his hours were numbered. This dismissal was therefore not a big surprise, although it showed that management in Lubin is not at the highest level – the coach recently extended his contract.
Polish coaches will remember this day for a long time. Another dismissal. This time in the third league
A much bigger sensation was the dismissal of Kazimierz Moskal from Wisła Kraków. Although the team has not been recording the best results recently, Jarosław Królewski has just defended the coach and his staff. The owner of Wisła has also accustomed the fans to giving coaches a chance to get out of a crisis. Moskal himself does not hide his disappointment with the whole situation. The name of the coach’s potential successor also emerged very quickly. It turns out that… Albert Rude may return to Wisła.
Polish clubs, however, are not stopping. Third-league Stomil Olsztyn also announced that it had parted ways with its coach. The distinguished Polish club is in a major crisis and currently ranks 14th in the fourth tier of the league.
“Piotr Zajączkowski has ceased to be the coach of Stomil Olsztyn. The contract was terminated by mutual consent. The new coach will be announced soon. Coach, thank you for your work in Stomil Olsztyn and we wish you good luck!” – we read.
Zajączkowski led Stomil in 10 matches. He won only three of them. Stomil was plunged into chaos after Szymon Grabowski left for Lechia Gdańsk in June 2023. Since then, the Olsztyn team has been relegated from the second league and has had five coaches – Janusz Bucholc lasted the longest, leading Stomil in 14 matches.
