The cybersecurity team at the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF CSIRT) warns against fraudsters impersonating Bank BNP Paribas. Cybercriminals have created ads that lead to a fake e-banking website for business customers.

CSIRT KNF posted a new warning on Tuesday on social media. “Attention! We warn @BNPParibas_PL business customers against false advertisements that are distributed via the Google search engine,” we read in a Twitter post.

Representatives of the team pointed out that “false advertisements lead to dangerous e-banking sites where fraudsters phish for logins and passwords”. The post is accompanied by a screenshot showing a dangerous page.

CSIRT KNF reminds you to carefully verify the address of the bank so as not to be robbed. As added, the address of the dangerous website is hxxps://goonlinebiznes[.]live.

Fraudsters impersonate banks

Cybercriminals impersonate various banks. PKO Bank Polski published a warning a few days ago against fraudsters impersonating the bank. Cybercriminals send messages that resemble periodic statement emails.

NASK also warned against the return of the Hydra malware campaign. The scammers targeted customers of Santander Bank Polska. Criminals sent e-mails with information about limiting access to the account due to the alleged lack of an appropriate application on the mobile device.
