A 26-year-old man who took a practical exam for a category B driving license in the Bochnia district (Lesser Poland) had 1.5 per mille of alcohol in his body. The man managed to drive through the maneuvering square and was about to hit the streets when the examiner became suspicious that the candidate for a driver he may be drunk.

Despite driving through the maneuvering area, the 26-year-old driver candidate did not hit the streets of the Bochnia district on Friday (June 7). Just before moving on to the next stage of the skills test, the examiner suspected that the young man might be drunk.

One and a half per mille in the body

“A road traffic patrol was sent to the site and conducted a sobriety test on both the examiner and the examinee. The examiner was sober, which could not be said about the latter. A 26-year-old from the Bochnia district had a breath concentration of 0.75 mg/l , which gives over one and a half per mille of alcohol in the body,” we read

As a result, the exam was interrupted and proceedings under Article 178a of the Penal Code will be initiated against the would-be driver. This provision concerns driving under the influence of alcohol, and breaking it may result in a three-year deprivation of the driving license, a three-year prison sentence and a high fine, in this case the equivalent of the vehicle used.
