On the S7 expressway near Bogaczew (Warmińsko-Mazurskie Voivodeship), a passenger car rolled over. Behind the wheel was a 39-year-old woman who was carrying three children. The 11-year-old who suffered the most was transported by the Polish Medical Air Rescue helicopter to the hospital.

As reported by the Municipal Police Headquarters in Elbląg, the 39-year-old woman, driving the S7 expressway towards Gdańsk, at the height of Bogaczewo, did not control the car on the curve of the road, hit the railing and overturned. The incident happened on Tuesday morning.

“There were three children in the car. The 11-year-old was the most injured in the incident. To transport them to the hospital, an air ambulance helicopter landed” – the Elbląg police said.

LPR helicopter landed

At the time of the helicopter landing, the route at the accident site was completely blocked, the police are directing vehicles to a detour along the service road. According to GDDKiA disruptions can last more than two hours.
