The 37-year-old citizen of Yemen was buried on Sunday in the Muslim cemetery in Bohoniki (Podlasie). At the same necropolis, two other funerals had previously taken place – a 19-year-old Syrian and a man whose body was found near the border – but his identity has not been established.
On Sunday, 37-year-old Mustafa Mohammed from Yemen was buried at the mizarze (Muslim cemetery) in Bohoniki in Podlasie. The man’s body was to be found on September 19 near Gródek (Podlasie), he died of hypothermia.
The funeral took so long because the prosecutor’s office was carrying out its activities – an autopsy of the man took place, and the Yemeni embassy was looking for contact with the family of the deceased 37-year-old.
– This is a Muslim cemetery and this cemetery is the resting place of all Muslims from around the world, regardless of whether they are people from Yemen, Sudan or our Tatars – no matter who, it’s important that it’s a Muslim – then we undertake such obligations. In particular, I, as the head of the Muslim Religious Community in Bohoniki, for religious matters, and then I do this ritual part – says imam Aleksander Ali Bazarewicz.
This is the third funeral in Bohoniki
This is another such funeral at the Bohoniki cemetery.
On Monday, November 15, a 19-year-old Syrian was buried therewhose body was fished on October 20 from the border river Bug. The second funeral took place on Thursday, November 18 – because his identity was not established, the man was buried as NNwhose body was found on October 22 in the Kuźnica commune.
