They were surrounded by alligators, saw Anaconda
Pilot Andres Velarde said that the plane suddenly began to lose the height, which made it necessary to land in the swamps near the lagoon. People on board stood at the top of the machine and were “surrounded by alligators that approached them at a distance of three meters.” The man added that in his opinion it was gasoline leaking from the plane, he was holding predators at a distance. He also said that they saw Anaconda in the water.
In anticipation of the rescue, the victims ate local flour from Maniok, which one of the passengers brought.
“We couldn't drink water or go anywhere else because of alligators,” Velarde reported.
After local fishermen discovered a broken unit, a helicopter was sent to the place to transport passengers.
