The Border Guard detained five Georgians who are to be charged with aiding and abetting illegal border crossings. The men were detained after a chase that started near the town of Bondary (Podlaskie Voivodeship). They escaped in four cars.

It was after 4 in the morning when on Tuesday (April 11) a patrol from the border post in Narewka noticed four cars driving at high speed towards the town of Bondary.

“The officers set off in pursuit of the vehicles. Despite the signals given, the drivers did not stop for control, and moreover they blocked the Border Guard service vehicle” – informs major Katarzyna Zdanowicz, spokeswoman for the Podlasie Border Guard Unit.
