The author of the dramatic and winning goal in the rematch was Ewa Pajor, who defeated the rivals' goalkeeper in the 94th minute. – This is the happiest day of my career – said Ewa Pajor after advancing to the European Championships.
Huge money for the Polish Football Association
Ewa Pajor plays for FC Barcelona every day and when this historic success reached abroad, the Spaniards announced it. “Mundo Deportivo” wrote “historical Pajor” and added that “she became a great heroine in the historic victory over Austria, which allowed them to qualify for the European Championships for the first time.”
Now Zbigniew Boniek announced via Twitter that the Polish Football Association and the players themselves will receive a huge bonus for this promotion. “The Polish Football Association will receive EUR 1,800,000 for the promotion of our girls to #UefaWomenEuro2025. Exco has also decided that at least 30% of this amount will go to the players,” said the UEFA Deputy President.
