The head of the National Bank of Poland Adam Glapiński has at his disposal of almost PLN 13 million in a larger budget for prizes, which he decides to award – informs money.pl on Friday. According to some interlocutors of the portal, this can be a way to financially appreciate the most loyal colleagues. Others talk about “bonus for silence”.
“Last year, Adam Glapiński, thanks to the NBP Board, changed the resolution and raised a prize fund, which is at his personal disposal. It is a separate fund, operating next to a similar, which is at the disposal of the bank's directors to reward their employees. The change has entered into force from the beginning of this year” – informs Money.pl on Friday.
The portal reminded that the director's fund was higher and amounted to 3 percent. pay fund, while the one at the president's disposal was 2 percent. this amount. “In percentage, the change seems to be small – this is just a jump from 2 to 3 percent. But – which our interlocutors from the bank pay attention to – at the same time this year's amounts of the NBP financial plan in the scope of remuneration costs increased. And this is the percentage of the prize fund. And so the performance in 2023 amounted to over PLN 775 million, in last year it was about 866. million, and the plan for this year assumes about PLN 984 million ” – informs money.pl.

As one of the interlocutors of the Money.pl portal assessed, the increase in the award fund “looks like an attempt to appreciate the most loyal employees in difficult times”.

His anxiety is caused by specific items, such as administrative costs (increase from approx. PLN 444 million to approx. PLN 575 million) or the costs of foreign services (increase from approx. PLN 330 million to approx. PLN 463 million). The position regarding consulting services (an increase of 422 percent) or expenses for scientific research and analysis (an increase of almost 160 percent) raises doubts. “
