The head of the Ministry of National Defence, chairman of the Committee for Security Matters, Mariusz Błaszczak, decided to move our military formations from the west to the east of Poland, said Secretary of the Committee, Minister Zbigniew Hoffmann. He assessed that “training or joint exercises of the Belarusian army and the Wagner Group is undoubtedly a provocation.”
On Thursday, the Reuters agency reported, citing the Ministry of Defense in Minsk, that at the training ground near Brest on the border with Poland the Belarusian army is training together with the Wagner Group. According to the Ukrainian UNIAN agency, the training – according to Minsk’s announcement – is to last at the training ground near Brest for a week. They are attended by units of the Belarusian Special Operations Forces together with representatives of the Wagner Group.
Hoffman: This is undoubtedly a provocation
Minister Hoffmann, who is the secretary of the Committee of the Council of Ministers for National Security and Defense Affairs, assessed in an interview with PAP that “training or joint exercises of the Belarusian army and the Wagner Group is undoubtedly a provocation.” “We can expect such Russian-Belarusian actions,” he added.

Hoffman: the task of training and deterring a potential aggressor
At the same time, the minister informed that a meeting of the Security Committee was held on Wednesday.
– Among other things, the Committee analyzed possible threats, such as the dislocation of Wagner Group units. Therefore, the Minister of National Defense, the chairman of the Committee Mariusz Blaszczak decided to move our military formations from the west to the east of Poland – he informed.
– The task of these units is to exercise, but also to deter a potential aggressor – clarified Hoffmann.
