Up to 5 years in prison may be imposed on the driver who was stopped by Gostyń police. The 20-year-old was wanted since serving his prison sentence. At the time of his arrest, he was intoxicated. A breathalyzer test showed that he had 3 per mille of alcohol in his system.
They were patrolling the streets when they came across a well-known driver. – A 20-year-old resident of the Borek Wielkopolski commune was behind the wheel. The officers suspected that the man was drunk, which was confirmed by a breathalyzer, which showed 3 per mille of alcohol in the 20-year-old's body – noted Deputy Commissioner Monika Curyk.
And that's not the only thing the man had on his conscience. As it turned out, the man has had his driving license revoked, is subject to a lifetime driving ban, and is wanted to serve an 11-month prison sentence for driving while intoxicated, as well as failing to comply with a court order. Curyk reported that the detained 20-year-old, in addition to serving the outstanding sentence, will be held accountable for driving while intoxicated, failing to comply with a court order, and failing to comply with a decision to revoke his license, for which he faces up to 5 years in prison.
