The 22-year-old and her nine-year-old sister got lost in the forest during mushroom picking in the vicinity of Borne Sulinowo (West Pomeranian Voivodeship). The mushrooming mowers were found because they had a charged phone with them and thanks to that they were in contact with the services who were looking for them. – The charged battery in the phone and the quick reaction of the uniformed officers contributed to the fact that the help came at the last moment – emphasizes the police.
The situation occurred on Monday evening. Around At 18 a young woman called on the phone of the District Police Headquarters in Szczecinek. – She informed the person on duty that – together with her nine-year-old sister – she got lost in the forest and does not know where she is – tells us the aspirant Anna Matys.
The woman went mushroom picking this afternoon. She parked the car by the woods and began picking mushrooms with her younger sister. At one point, she realized that she had lost her way in the field and did not know how to find the way to the car.

Fortunately, the 22-year-old had a charged phone and, although she was losing coverage, she was in touch with the officers. The woman sent the officers photos of characteristic elements of the landscape, which – thanks to the help of a forester – allowed them to locate them. Mushroomers were loud, which also made them easier to find.
– The sisters experienced moments of terror, but they can speak of great happiness. Bearing in mind the safety of her sister and the falling dusk, the woman immediately called asking for help. The charged battery in the phone and the quick reaction of the uniformed officers contributed to the fact that the help came at the last moment. Falling dusk could have written a different scenario of this search – emphasized Matys.
